Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are effective for removing fine lines and smoothing out the skin. After the upper layers of the skin have been removed, a new layer of skin develops. Chemical peels can be used in areas that are not improved by a facelift (e.g., the eyelids and around the mouth). Depending on your skin type and degree of sun damage, a surface, medium or deep chemical peel may be the appropriate treatment. Superficial (surface) peels that produce a wounding of the epidermis and papillary dermis include glycolic acid and Jessner’s (salicylic acid, resorcinol, and lactic acid).

Medium depth chemical peels produce a wounding of the upper reticular dermis. We have peels tailored to meet your skin care needs.

We offer micropeel, micropeel plus, and TCA chemical peels. Our newest peel is the VI Peel which combines salicylic and tretinoic acids, TCA, phenol, vitamin C and a mineral blend to improve the tone, texture, and clarity of the skin. The following products are used for topical peels and are customized to your current skin care needs: lactic acid, salicylic acid, beta-hydroxy acid, alpha-hydroxy acid, and trichloroacetic acid.
